Ari grew up impoverished, usually making a living with petty larsony and bardship in the streets of Thanalan's capital. It's possible you may recognize her from childhood, have seen her perform in passing, or maybe even had some coin stolen when she was much younger!
Privateer No More
Once a promising navigator aboard a ship in the Ruby Sea, Ari became a rather fierce sky pirate for a time to amass a small fortune, hunting the likes of pirates who preyed on weaker folks. May you have been a shipmate? A former rival? Someone caught in the crossfire?

Throughout Ari's life (and ooc playtime) she's actually been in a few Free Companies and Guilds. Some of note are Nagare, Grimhollow, the Everwinter, as well as a student at the Lunar Rose Academy. While her connections have severed over time, your memory of her may not have!

Backstory
Ari Q'Zemo is an adventurer by trade, and a musician at heart. A lively if not difficult childhood gave her the strength to do what she needed to survive, but certainly gave her strife with some of the unfortunate decisions she had to make growing up, and even in her adult life. While not every move has been perfect, she is constantly growing and learning to become a better version of herself every day.
Ari Q'Zemo was born in Ul'dah, the daughter of a Miqo'te dancer and an Elezen merchant. Her father promised to take care of her and her mother, but the reality was far different. Forced to keep them hidden away in a cramped apartment on the outskirts of the city due to his obligations to his Elezen wife and his position in Ul'dah's merchant elite, he soon disappeared, leaving Ari and her mother to fend for themselves.Growing up, Ari's mother taught her how to dance, but also how to sing and play instruments. These skills would prove to be invaluable in the years to come. Ari's mother died when she was only sixteen, leaving her alone and desperate. But Ari was determined to make something of herself, using her skills to perform in taverns and on street corners for tips.A chance encounter with a wandering bard changed Ari's life forever. The bard recognized her talent and took her under his wing, teaching her everything he knew about music and performance. With his guidance, Ari became a skilled bard in her own right, using her talents to entertain crowds and earn a living.But Ari didn't just want to be a performer – she wanted to use her music to make a difference in the world. She began to write her own songs, crafting powerful ballads about the struggles of the common people and the injustices of the merchant elite in Ul'dah. Her music soon became a rallying cry for the downtrodden, inspiring them to stand up for themselves and fight back against their oppressors.Now, as she travels across Eorzea, Ari is determined to use her music to make a difference. She knows that her voice can be a powerful tool for change, and she will stop at nothing to see justice done. With her lute in hand and a song on her lips, Ari Q'Zemo is ready to take on the world.
